Letterpress trays, bespoke letterpress font
Two letterpress trays containing the artist's own letterpress font formulated by lasercutting digitised images of the alphabet sculpted in correction fluid.
Each tray contains a sentence that describes an unlikely chain of events linking past inventions with improbable outcomes.
There were a handful of sentences used during the exhibition, but the two stalwarts were "Queen Victoria would so never have flaunted that purple number if it wasn't for malaria" and "Without Tipp-Ex Wool Hat would never have made it into The Monkees".
Created as part of Intention/Invention/Convention at Exeter Phoenix in 2014.
